Meet the instructors
Chris Best
Chris started providing CPR as a lifeguard in his teens during the summers. After returning from college he started volunteering at a local fire department. He enjoyed it so much, that he decided to make it a career in 2005. Then he obtained his EMT certification in 2007. He obtained his CPR instructor in 2012.
In 2013 he continued to further his education and earned his paramedic certification.
Monty Stubbs
Monty started providing 1st aid and CPR when he became a police officer and first responder in 1995 and served in both Columbia, SC and Greenville, SC. He then transitioned into the fire service where he has served as a volunteer fireman and then in 2017 as a full time fireman and EMT. A lot has changed in the last 25 years since Monty started performing 1st aid and CPR in the real world, but the one thing that hasn't is his desire to help instruct others and enable them to be ready to save a life.
